Sinndrin Genossenschaft was founded by environmental engineers with the idea of creating a platform for various projects that also incorporate respect for the environment. Sinndrin’s meaning, “sense in it,” posed quite a challenge to visualize in a logo. I created a bespoke typeface that simultaneously conveys a sense of construction from “engineers” and a soft touch of nature/environment. By playing with the word “Sinndrin,” it suddenly made sense to create a stencil type and an “i,n” ligature, turning the word into a typographic mark.
